Tesla launches Supercharger contest – visit the most stations and win a prize

Tesla has launched a new competition for its owners, offering up a mystery prize to the person who visits the most Supercharger stations over the next month and a half.

Visiting as many Supercharger stations as possible has become somewhat of a hobby amongst Tesla owners. While some take it less seriously than others, there are those who make it a habit to take their Tesla on road trips whenever they can in an attempt to claim the title of most Supercharger stations visited.

There is an unofficial tracker maintained among a small group of hardcore and frequent Supercharger visitors, with the top of the leaderboard claimed by someone who has visited nearly 1,700 different stations since 2016.

Tesla has now officially turned Supercharger visits into a competition, launching a new competition today for the individual who can visit the most Superchargers in the next month and a half.

The details of the contest are slim, but according to a post from the official Tesla Charging account on X (formerly Twitter) announcing the contest, visiting the same station over and over doesn’t count, and only unique stations will go towards your total.

It appears as though everyone will be automatically entered, and Tesla will keep a tally of your Supercharger visits themselves, so all you need to do is get out there and drive.

There was no information on the prize that will be awarded, but the winner will be announced on March 31, 2024.

UPDATE 4:02pm PT: We asked Tesla what the prize will be, and while they didn’t reveal it, they did respond with “It’s an Easter egg.”

If you happen to have planned a big road trip between now and then, you might have a shot at winning this contest.
