Tesla launches Cybertruck leasing in the US

Tesla has officially launched leasing options for the Cybertruck in the United States, opening up a new segment of the market for the electric pickup truck. Leasing the all-electric truck provides flexibility for those interested in a shorter-term commitment while allowing customers to access the automaker’s newest vehicle without a long-term financial commitment.

According to Tesla’s online configurator, the Cybertruck is available to lease in both the standard All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and the Cyberbeast variants. Both options are offered with lease terms of 24 or 36 months, with either $0 down or a $7,500 down payment. The monthly cost varies by term, down payment, and model, catering to a range of budgets and preferences.

For those looking to minimize their initial expense, Tesla’s $0 down option allows drivers to lease the AWD version for $1,249 per month on a 36-month term or $1,568 per month on a 24-month term.

Opting for the high-performance Cyberbeast raises these monthly payments to $1,439 for 36 months and $1,715 for 24 months.

If those monthly payments are too high for you, the down payment of $7,500 significantly reduces the costs. The AWD model’s lease is priced at $999 per month for a 36-month term or $1,199 per month for 24 months. Those choosing the Cyberbeast can lease for $1,204 monthly on a 36-month term or $1,368 on a 24-month plan.

As for Cybertruck leasing in Canada, that is probably still far away. The Cybertruck has been available in the US for nearly a year, and the company has already shut down orders for the Foundation Series after starting production of the “regular” Cybertrucks. While in Canada, Foundation Series deliveries only started this week, and the non-Foundation Series isn’t expected north of the border until sometime in 2025.
