If you have ever searched for tech gadgets or appliances online, you are probably familiar with the “compare” feature available from many online retailers. With the tool you can add a few similar products to compare specifications to help make your buying decision a little easier.
Now you can do the same when shopping for a Tesla, as the automaker has added a new “Compare Models” feature to its website. Unfortunately the feature is not available in Canada and only available on the US version of the site for now.
The new tool allows you to select up to three different vehicles with options for each variant of all Tesla models currently available
Once you have your cars selected, it compares each of them on 5 different categories:
- Price
- Range
- Seating capacity
- Cargo capacity
- Drive
There is also a “+ See More” button to add two more comparisons to the list:
- Acceleration
- Top Speed
Conveniently placed underneath each of the vehicles’ stats is an “ORDER NOW” button, just in case the stats you’re seeing are enough to make you buy your Tesla on the spot.
Unlike the Design Studio there doesn’t appear to be an option to change the price to include potential savings with incentives and estimated fuel savings. The prices are also all $1,500 USD lower than what appears on the Design Studio as it defaults to include the $1,500 USD California Clean Air Rebate.
You can try out the new tool at tesla.com/compare.
