Tesla introduces Military Purchase Program offering $1,000 discount on new cars in the US

In the lead up to the July 4th holiday in the United States, Tesla has introduced a new Military Purchase Program, offering members of the US military a $1,000 discount on the purchase of a new car.

According to the details of the program on Tesla’s website, which leverages Tesla’s made in America theme, the $1,000 discount applies to the purchase of any new Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S, or Model X. The offer is available to military veterans, retirees, active duty members, and their spouses.

The program is straightforward, allowing eligible military personnel and their families to benefit from the discount without any restrictions on the number of vehicles that can be purchased. To take advantage of this offer, eligible participants need to follow a simple process:

  1. Choose Your Vehicle: Select the preferred Tesla model from Model 3, Model Y, Model S, or Model X.
  2. Get Verified: Verify military status through ID.me, a trusted identity verification service.
  3. Complete Your Order: Once verification is complete, participants will be redirected to Tesla’s order page to configure and finalize their vehicle purchase.

The discount applies to all payment methods, including cash, lease, and loan options.

The Military Purchase Program however is not applicable to purchases of the Cybertruck, or used Teslas.

Editor’s note: The headline was updated to reflect the deal is only available in the US.
