Tesla’s Giga Berlin has reached a significant achievement with the production of its 100,000th refreshed Model Y. The milestone, announced through Tesla’s official manufacturing account on X, highlights how quickly the company has scaled its European operations since introducing the updated version of its best-selling crossover earlier this year.
The refreshed Model Y, often referred to as the new Model Y, incorporates numerous improvements aimed at keeping Tesla ahead of the competition in Europe’s increasingly crowded EV market.
By reaching 100,000 units just months after production first began in January 2025, Giga Berlin has once again demonstrated its ability to scale output at speed. Tesla has leveraged innovations such as gigacasting, advanced automation, and streamlined supply chains to push weekly output to more than 6,000 vehicles, with further capacity increases planned as demand continues to rise.

While this news is happening in Germany, there is a Canadian connection as Tesla has started shipping Model Ys from Giga Berlin to Canada. This change in logistics allowed Tesla to lower the price of the Model Y Long Range to below pre-tariff levels.
As of this week, Quebec now lists the Berlin-built models, the 2026 Model Y Long Range AWD designated by the “B” (for Berlin) code, as eligible for the province’s $4,000 rebate.
This is not the first time Tesla has celebrated production records at its German facility. Most recently in late 2024, Giga Berlin rolled out its 400,000th Model Y overall, cementing its role as Tesla’s central hub for European deliveries.
