Tesla has officially ended sales of the legacy Model Y in Canada and the United States. However, despite the legacy Model Y being removing from the online configurator, Tesla has not yet opened up orders for the new Model Y in all trims.
Tesla unveiled the new Model Y in the introductory Launch Series trim in January, shortly after it debuted in China and other overseas markets. Since then the company has started deliveries in nearly all markets (Canadian deliveries have been delayed pending government registration), and in some markets Tesla has already stopped sales of the Launch Series, and switched to the new Model Y being available in Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) trims.
According to an update to Tesla’s website on Thursday night, the company has officially stopped taking new order for the outgoing legacy Model Y, which is now only available through the existing inventory website (with some big discounts of over $11,000).
However, despite this, the only option for customers to select from in the Design Studio now is the Launch Series of the new Model Y, which is still priced at C$84,990/US$59,990.

Unfortunately Tesla has given no indication of when the new Model Y will be expanded to the RWD and Long Range trims without the Launch Series premium in Canada or the US. Before the vehicles were removed, the Model Y RWD started at C$64,990/US$44,990, while the Model Y LR started at C$68,990/US$47,990.
Additionally, the white interior option is still sold out on the Launch Series.
