Tesla brings back ability transfer FSD amid other promos

Tesla has brought back the ability to transfer Full Self-Driving (FSD) between old and new cars. The company has also introduced other promotions early in the second quarter to stimulate sales, including zero percent financing and $2,000 for early customers on select models.

FSD Transfer

Are you planning to move from one Tesla car to another and worried about losing FSD access? The good news is the automaker is once again allowing its customers to transfer their FSD between vehicles. Interestingly, Tesla is not imposing a time limit on the process at this time.

According to Tesla North America on X, new Model 3s, Model Ys, Model Xs, and Model Ss qualify. The Cybertruck is eligible, too, but the Foundation-Series pickup trucks and Launch-Series Model Ys are excluded because they come with FSD.

Tesla has run this kind of promotion in the past. To activate a transfer, customers have to contact their delivery rep through the smartphone app.

Model Y Discount

Tesla is also running a special campaign targeted at the earliest Model Y owners. It has sent a message thanking the first people to purchase the Model Y and offering them a $2,000 discount if they upgrade to the latest version.

We have so far only seen this discount in the United States, but let us know if you receive a similar offer in Canada.

Tesla is offering another promotion that applies to the Model 3, and also only in the U.S. Tesla is offering 0% APR financing on new sales, meaning buyers will not pay interest on the money borrowed.
