Tesla adjusts Supercharger prices in Canada as network usage hits record high

Tesla is rolling out a series of price adjustments across its Supercharger network in Canada, while hitting an all-time high in network usage in North America.

Earlier today we told you that the North American Supercharger network delivered 12 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electric in a single day over the Thanksgiving weekend in the US. That is six times the amount of electric Tesla’s entire global Supercharger network delivered just five years ago in July of 2019, a record month that averaged approximately 2.4 GWh per day.

This metric was announced by Tesla’s Supercharging Director, Max de Zegher, in response to a comment about Supercharger prices being lowered in the US, and in Europe by up to €0.10 per kWh. de Zegher confirmed the price drops in both regions, saying they were being lowered in part thanks to cost efficiencies being passed along to the customer.

As it turns out, some of those savings also translated into price drops in Canada, but interestingly there were also some price increases.

Here is what are readers have told us about Supercharger price adjustments in Canada.
