Tesla adds Foundation Series Cybertrucks to existing inventory in the US

Tesla may have ended sales of the Foundation Series Cybertrucks in the US, but if you really still want one of the limited production Cybertrucks, you can now purchase one through Tesla’s existing inventory website.

When Tesla launched the Cybertruck almost exactly one year ago, it debuted in a more expensive Foundation Series trim. This trim, available in both the Dual Motor and tri-motor Cyberbeast variants, added US$20,000 to the sticker price, but also come with a long list of accessories and extras worth almost just as much as that premium.

Tesla produced this version of the Cybertruck for almost a year, but ended sales and production of the Foundation Series last month, officially launching sales of the “regular” priced Cybertrucks.

However, if you feel like you missed out, you can still get your hands on a brand new Foundation Series Cybertruck on Tesla’s existing inventory website, although with no discounts.

According to the listings we were able to find, both the Dual Motor and Cyberbeast are available, and both are available at the same prices as before, US$99,990 and US$119,990 respectively. And just like when buying new, these Foundation Series Cybertrucks, they appear to come with all of the same accessories and extras included in that price.

If Tesla ended production last month, then where are these Foundation Series Cybertrucks coming from? Tesla can’t perfectly forecast how many Cybertrucks they will sell and produce that exact figure, so these are likely leftovers that were produced near the end of the run, but were not allocated to customers in the US or Canada.

Speaking of Canada, Foundation Series Cybertrucks are not yet available on existing inventory north of the border. This makes sense considering the first deliveries only happened last week, although we may see some appear next year.
