Tesla has officially added Foundation Series Cybertrucks to its existing inventory in Canada, providing an opportunity for buyers to get their hands on the electric pickup without the typical wait times. Unlike custom orders, which require several weeks for delivery, these inventory Cybertrucks are available for near-immediate pickup.
However, Tesla is not offering any discounts or incentives, maintaining the standard pricing structure for these Foundation Series Cybertrucks – $137,990 for the Dual Motor AWD, and $165,990 for the tri-motor Cyberbeast.
Along with no discounts, buyers looking for incentives such as the free lifetime Supercharging like what is being offered in the US will be disappointed, as Tesla is not including any perks yet with these inventory Cybertrucks.
Based on a review of the existing inventory website by Drive Tesla, there are Cybertrucks currently available in inventory across the country. At the time of publication we were able to see four in Vancouver, one on Vancouver Island, three in Calgary, two in Edmonton, none in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, more than twenty in and around Toronto, and several in Quebec.
What’s Next for Canadian Cybertruck Buyers?
Unfortunately, this is not the move many Tesla fans in Canada were hoping for. Canada is still waiting to receive the non-Foundation Series Cybertrucks, which don’t come with all of the extra accessories, and also without the premium price tag. Tesla introduced the regular Cybertrucks in the US in October last year, but there is still no sign of when they will arrive in Canada.
Tesla’s move to add Cybertrucks to existing inventory in Canada follows a similar strategy employed in the United States. Tesla first introduced Foundation Series Cybertrucks to its US inventory in November last year, allowing customers to purchase a truck directly from available stock. The vehicles were offered at full price, with no incentives or discounts, mirroring the current Canadian approach.
Tesla has since moved to offer discounts, and free lifetime Supercharging, so it would not be surprising to see Tesla offer the same incentives soon in Canada.
