Polestar 3 details and new teaser shared ahead of global debut on October 12

Polestar is set to debut its next electric vehicle (EV), the Polestar 3 on October 12, 2022. Ahead of the official reveal, the Swedish automaker has shared a new teaser image and more details on the electric SUV.

Previously Polestar has said their new EV will feature a dual-motor powertrain paired with a “large battery” that will provide over 600km (373 miles) of range on the WLTP rating schedule.

Today the automaker added more details, saying the powertrain will be “rear-biased” and also feature torque vectoring through a dual clutch system on the rear electric motor. It will also have adaptive dual-chamber air suspension that can automatically adjust to road conditions once every two milliseconds.

Polestar also revealed the Polestar 3 will come with an optional Performance Pack which provides 517hp and 671 lb-ft of torque.

“It’s this instant ability to transform from a comfortable cruiser to a sharp, agile performance car in less than the blink of an eye that makes Polestar 3 special as an electric performance SUV,” continued Ingenlath. “It also benefits from a low center of gravity and wide track for ultimate stability, and an exciting feeling behind the wheel.”

The automaker also shared a new teaser image of the Polestar 3, this time showing it from the rear.

All details on the Polestar 3 will be revealed on October 12 during a livestream event which you can watch on YouTube.

Production and the first deliveries are expected to begin in early 2023. CEO Thomas Ingenlath has previously confirmed the Polestar 3 would be priced between €75,000 and €110,000.
