Lucid has set a new Guinness World Record, with the automaker’s flagship luxury sedan, the Lucid Air Grand Touring, completed a journey of 1,205 km (749 miles) on a single charge—surpassing the previous benchmark by an impressive 160 km (99 miles).
According to a press release from Lucid on Tuesday, the feat was accomplished during a cross-border trip from St. Moritz, Switzerland to Munich, Germany, a route that included a challenging mix of alpine roads, highways, and secondary streets. The previous record of 1,045 km (649 miles) was set just last month in June 2025.

“This range record represents a significant milestone—it’s yet another clear demonstration of the technological edge that defines Lucid,” said Eric Bach, Senior Vice President of Product and Chief Engineer at Lucid. “Our Lucid products combine world-class vehicle efficiency with the most advanced drive units, ultra-high voltage architecture, and battery management technology available today.”
The Lucid Air Grand Touring boasts a WLTP-rated range of up to 823 km (512 miles) and an energy efficiency rating as low as 13.5 kWh per 100 km, or 4.6 mi/kWh.

The achievement was made possible through Lucid’s ongoing collaboration with Umit Sabanci, a London-based entrepreneur known for his passion for electric mobility records. In 2024, Sabanci drove a Lucid Air Grand Touring through nine countries on a single charge, setting a Guinness World Record for most countries visited in a production EV without recharging.
“This new achievement takes that journey even further,” said Sabanci. “I’m proud to be part of a movement that proves electric mobility isn’t just the future—it’s already redefining what’s possible today.”
