Ford Expands Power Promise Program to the UK, Extends Offer in Canada

Ford is ramping up its push into electric vehicles in the UK with the expansion of its “Power Promise” program, designed to ease the transition to an electric vehicle (EV). The company also announced it is extending the Power Promise program in Canada by a few months.

Originally launched in the U.S. in October 2024, and later expanded to Canada, the Power Promise program gives Ford EV buyers a bundle of incentives aimed at improving affordability, accessibility, and overall confidence in EV ownership. Now, Ford is bringing this offer across the Atlantic, expanding it to both Great Britain and Northern Ireland with region-specific partnerships.

Customers who purchase an all-electric Ford passenger vehicle by June 30, 2025, will receive a free wall box charger with standard installation. In Great Britain, this is provided through Ford’s partnership with Octopus Energy, while in Northern Ireland, installation services are handled by ChargeGuru. Buyers can also take advantage of up to 10,000 miles’ worth of home charging credit on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, which offers lower rates during off-peak hours and can reduce charging costs by up to 70% when combined with Ford’s Dynamic Charging.

For those who already have a home charging solution, Ford is offering a £500 cash bonus as an alternative.

Beyond home charging, Ford is also focusing on public charging access through its BlueOval™ Charge Network, which now includes over 36,000 charge points in the UK and 800,000 across Europe.

Additionally, the Power Promise includes an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty, a five-year service plan, and five years of complimentary roadside assistance—covering towing to the nearest charger if needed.

Along with the expansion of the program to the UK, Ford also announced it is extending the Power Promise program in “some regions of Canada” until June 30, 2025. The deal, which includes a free wall charger and installation, was originally set to expire on March 31, 2025.
