A Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas became the latest target of an arson attack after multiple Tesla vehicles were set on fire on Tuesday morning. Responding to the incident, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to call it an act of “terrorism,” saying the company has “done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.”
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the fire broke out at approximately 2:45 a.m. local time at the Tesla Collision Center on West Badura Avenue. Police and fire department officials arrived on the scene shortly after reports of the blaze surfaced. Investigators believe that an individual deliberately set fire to multiple vehicles in the parking lot, causing extensive damage.
As of now, no suspect has been publicly identified, and police are working to determine the motive behind the attack. Given the rising number of vandalism cases targeting Tesla vehicles and infrastructure, authorities are considering whether this incident is part of a broader pattern of hostility toward the company and its CEO.
Elon Musk addressed the attack, calling it “insane and deeply wrong” on his social media platform, X. Musk went on to emphasize that Tesla is simply an automaker producing electric vehicles and has done “nothing to deserve these evil attacks.”

Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks. https://t.co/Fh1rcfsJPh
Musk, and by extension Tesla, have increasingly become polarizing, with the company often at the center of political and ideological debates. Some critics of Musk have expressed their opposition in extreme ways, including damaging Tesla property, and even Tesla stores and vehicles being targeted with gunfire in the U.S. Tesla owners have also reported deliberate damage to their vehicles, while Supercharger stations have been set on fire, including one in Canada over the weekend.
