NIO has reached another significant milestone announcing on Tuesday they have now produced 200,000 electric vehicles (EVs).
The impressive figure comes just over one year after NIO’s 100,000th EV rolled off the production line on April 8, 2021.
That means it took the company three years to produce their first 100,000 EVs, and just 12 months to produce their second 100,000.
NIO’s 200,000th mass production vehicle rolled off the production line on April 26th, 2022.

The milestone could have reached earlier had the facility not been shutdown earlier this month due to COVID-19.
Even though the plant was not in the areas affected by the lockdowns, many of their suppliers were which forced NIO to halt production for five days from April 9 to April 14.
At the same time, the automaker was also forced to increase prices on their vehicles, this time due to the rising prices of raw materials.
