Arevon Powers Up 200MW/800MWh Condor Energy Storage Project

Arevon Energy has officially turned on its 200 MW/800 MWh Condor Energy Storage Project in San Bernardino County, California.

The Condor Energy Storage Project, one of the most advanced utility-scale energy storage facilities in the state, is powered by Tesla’s Megapack 2 XL batteries. The batteries will store and dispatch energy during periods of peak demand, with the capacity to power up to 150,000 homes for four hours

The Condor project not only strengthens California’s energy grid but also contributes to the local economy. Over its lifespan, the facility is expected to generate $25 million in property tax revenue, providing essential funding for the county and local school district.

In addition to its economic impact, the Condor project is also improving educational opportunities. Arevon has partnered with Grand Terrace High School and Riverside-based Industrial Metal Supply to create a 3D metal sculpture that symbolizes the project’s contribution to the community.

Additionally, Arevon donated US$200,000 to provide shade for students at Grand Terrace High School.

The Condor Energy Storage Project is just one of several projects Arevon has developed in California, where the company currently operates nearly 2,500 MW of renewable energy capacity. The company also has more than 1,200 MW of additional capacity under construction, including the Cormorant and Avocet energy storage projects.
