Fisker Issues Another Round of Layoffs

Fisker is facing another wave of layoffs. This latest round of job cuts targets various departments across the organization, compounding Fisker’s already significant troubles.

Fisker has not officially announced the layoffs, so the extent of the latest job cuts remains unclear, but posts on Reddit indicate that employees from various departments, including customer relations, the social media team, the entire UX/UI team, and apparently all software developers, received notification of their termination via email on Wednesday.

According to one former employee, the company retained one engineer for each team, but laid off all mangers, supervisors, and higher ups.

Making the layoffs especially difficult for employees, in many cases it appears as though they were not notified their jobs had been cut, but rather found out after their system access was revoked.

This round of layoffs comes just a few weeks after the company’s most recent job cuts. In late April CEO Henrik Fisker said the company is pursuing every option to keep the lights on, one of them being further reducing its dwindling workforce.

As of April 19, Fisker had 1,135 employees around the world.
