Ford has launched two new offers to drive up sales of the Mustang Mach-E as the year comes to a close, offering incentives on both fleet sales and extended range models.
In a recent bulletin sent to dealers, Ford announced a new $5,000 dealer cash incentive for Mustang Mach-E fleet sales, available until January 2nd, 2024. This move, seen as an effort to boost EV sales volume, however since dealers are not directly related to the automaker, customers may never see the discount as dealers have the option of retaining it for additional profit.
Ford Pro, the company’s fleet services division, initiated the $5,000 dealer cash incentive last Friday, according to CarsDirect. This new deal comes after Ford had lifted restrictions on advertising the Mach-E below MSRP earlier this month.
At the same time, Ford has introduced a $3,000 Retail Bonus Cash incentive for Premium-trimmed Mach-E models equipped with an extended-range battery, including the high-performance GT. This incentive, revealed in a recent dealer bulletin obtained by Ford Authority, does not include the entry-level Mustang Mach-E Select and Mach-E Premium standard range models.
For potential buyers, this means that upgrading to the extended-range battery could now cost $4,000 instead of $7,000, making it a more attractive option considering the significant range difference.
There is also the prospect of the Mach-E losing its $3,750 tax credit at the end the of the year, giving this incentive extra allure for interested buyers.
But Ford isn’t stopping there. To sweeten the deal further, Ford Credit is offering zero percent financing for 48 months until the end of the month, providing an additional incentive for those with good credit.
