Boring Company purchases site for Vegas Loop station in Chinatown

The Boring Company has finalized the purchase of a 1.4-acre site in the Chinatown/Asian District in Las Vegas. The site, which is located at 3682 South Valley View Boulevard, will be home to a new station on the expanded Vegas Loop.

Currently, the property is zoned for manufacturing and has two buildings. So, the Boring Company will most likely need to get zoning permission before construction can begin on the site, According to a report by BisNow.

Object Dash LLC, an affiliate of the Boring Company, bought the property from the Californian-based HMV group.

HMV has been heavily investing in the Chinatown district, with multiple retail and mixed-use projects planned or already in construction. HMV also owns the property where the second Chinatown / Asian District Vegas Loop station is planned. That site is at 3529 Spring Mountain Road.

HMV Director Maxwell Nuremberg said this in the release about working with Boring Company:

It made perfect sense to collaborate with them since the Vegas Loop station will eventually bring customers and residents to the doorstep of our Spring Mountain Vegas Loop retail development and Valley View Vegas Loop retail development projects.

The entire Vegas Loop is currently approved for 68 miles of tunnels with 81 stations which stretch throughout the city. It is unclear if the Boring Company plans to purchase every station site or will work with existing landowners to secure sites.
