It wasn’t that long ago that Tesla’s Autopilot feature wasn’t included with the purchase of the car, but rather a $4,000CAD option.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has indicated that owners of the now-discontinued Long Range (LR) RWD Model 3 will soon be able to purchase the driver-assist package at a discounted price.
Responding to a user on Twitter, Musk said the option would be made available to owners through a purchase within the Tesla mobile app.

This is great news for owners who opted to not purchase Autopilot during their original purchase, which includes Traffic Aware Cruise Control (TACC) and Autosteer.
The LR RWD Model 3 was discontinued by Tesla in June 2019, shortly after Autopilot became included with all vehicles.
