Tesla Referral Rewards Double in Europe

Tesla is ramping up incentives in Europe as it looks to build on its early 2026 sales momentum, doubling the rewards offered through its Referral Program for both new buyers and existing owners.

According to an update to the referral program details in the mobile app, Tesla has doubled the free Supercharging bonus for both buyers and referrers across parts of Europe. Customers who purchase a new vehicle using a referral link will now receive 2,000 km (1,300 miles) of free Supercharging, while the person who referred them will receive the same reward.

Previously, the incentive was set at 1,000 km, meaning the latest change doubles the benefit for both parties.

The updated offer appears to be rolling out in multiple European markets, and applies to the Model 3 and Model Y, as the Model S and Model X have now been discontinued and are no longer available for purchase in Europe.

While referral perks are nothing new for Tesla, the timing of this change comes as Tesla is seeing a rebound in sales in the region. After a challenging 2025 that saw softer demand, Tesla has shown clear signs of a rebound in 2026, even going so far as increasing prices on the Model Y across Europe.

If sales are increasing, why is Tesla turning to additional incentives? Boosting the Referral Program serves a dual purpose. Not only does it reward loyal customers for advocating the brand, but it also provides a low-cost way for Tesla to drive incremental demand.
