Rivian reports 15% drop in production and 18% decline in deliveries in 2025

Rivian has released its production and delivery figures for the fourth quarter and full year 2025, revealing a noticeable year-over-year (YoY) slowdown. While both production and deliveries declined by double digits compared to last year, the company said the results were in line with its expectations.

According to its Q4 2025 update, Rivian produced 10,974 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois, between October and December. During the same period, the company delivered 9,745 vehicles to customers, reflecting a modest gap between production and deliveries as Rivian managed end-of-quarter logistics and inventory timing.

For the full year, Rivian reported total production of 42,284 vehicles and deliveries of 42,247 units in 2025. Rivian did not break out model-specific volumes. That marked a notable decline compared to 2024, when the automaker delivered 51,579 vehicles, including 14,183 units in the fourth quarter alone.

Despite the year-over-year drop, Rivian said its 2025 results were in line with expectations. At the start of the year, the company had guided for 2025 production of between 46,000 and 51,000 vehicles, later narrowing it to 41,500 to 43,500 vehicles.

Rivian’s Normal, Illinois facility remains the company’s sole manufacturing site and continues to support production of the R1T pickup, R1S SUV, and its commercial delivery vans. The automaker recently started construction of its second manufacturing facility in Georgia.

Rivian announced that it will release its fourth quarter and full-year 2025 financial results after market close on February 12, 2026. The company will also host an audio webcast at 5:00 p.m. ET that same day to discuss its financial performance and outlook.

That earnings call is expected to be closely watched, particularly for updates on margins, cash burn, and capital spending, as well as any commentary around 2026 priorities, in particular about the upcoming launch of the R2.
