Tesla teases launch into second South American country

Tesla appears to be preparing for its next market launch — this time in Colombia. The company posted a short video on X featuring the outline of the South American nation, and nothing else.

While no further details were shared, the teaser all but confirms that Tesla is gearing up to officially enter Colombia, expanding its presence on the continent beyond Chile.

Colombia would become only the second South American country to host Tesla’s operations after Chile, where the automaker launched sales and opened its first retail location last year. Chile’s debut marked Tesla’s first official step into the continent, supported by the rollout of its Supercharger network.

The video is not that surprising however, as over the past several months Tesla has published multiple job postings in Colombia for roles such as Sales Advisor, Service Technician, and Associate Sales Manager, even though the company had no official presence there.

While Tesla has yet to announce an official launch date, the video’s release paired with the job postings suggests that preparations are already well underway, and the official launch could happen early next year.
