Lucid achieved a new delivery record in the third quarter of 2025, signaling progress for the California-based luxury EV maker as it works to expand production and capture a greater share of the premium SUV market.
According to Lucid’s latest report released on Monday, the company produced 3,891 vehicles in Q3, with over 1,000 additional units built for final assembly in Saudi Arabia. Total deliveries reached 4,078 vehicles, marking Lucid’s seventh consecutive quarterly delivery increase and its highest-ever quarterly total.
Through September 2025, Lucid has produced 9,966 vehicles and delivered 10,496. The automaker still projects it will build 18,000 to 20,000 units this year.
Gravity SUV Drives Growth Ahead of Tax Credit Expiration
Much of Lucid’s growth appears to have been fueled by rising demand for its Gravity SUV, the automaker’s second model after the Air luxury sedan. The three-row electric SUV began reaching customers earlier this year and is quickly becoming central to Lucid’s lineup. Executives say the Gravity represents a market six times larger than the Air, tapping into the booming SUV segment that continues to outpace sedan demand.
The surge in deliveries also coincided with the expiration of the U.S. federal $7,500 EV tax credit at the end of September, prompting a final rush of buyers across the EV industry. Tesla also reported record sales in the same period, while Rivian also saw a boost despite forecasting slower overall growth for 2025.
Financial Results and Investor Q&A
Lucid will release its full Q3 2025 financial results on November 5, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. PT / 5:30 p.m. ET. The company will host a live webcast for investors and take questions submitted through Say Technologies, allowing both retail and institutional shareholders to participate in the Q&A session.
While Lucid’s delivery growth is encouraging, the company still faces challenges scaling production and reaching profitability. The upcoming earnings call is expected to shed more light on Lucid’s financial health, production outlook, and the ongoing ramp of the Gravity SUV as it aims to “finish 2025 strong.”
