Lithuania’s first Tesla Supercharger under construction in Kaunas

Tesla owners in Lithuania have a lot of patience. The automaker announced plans to build a Supercharger in the city of Kaunas, adding it to their Supercharger map and saying it will be “coming soon” all the way back in 2016.

In the five years since it has remained on Tesla’s map as a planned location, but still doesn’t have a targeted opening date.

The wait is over after the discovery this week of the Kaunas Supercharger finally under construction.

According to photos and information shared on Facebook by 100PrecentuElektrinis.it, the Supercharger is located at Inovacijų g 1, Biruliškėje right next to Elinta Charge, a local maker of EV charging products.

Initial reports indicate the site will feature 8 Supercharger stalls, 6 of which will be V3 Supercharger while the other 2 will be V2 stalls.
