Tesla is continuing to push its Supercharger network deeper into northern British Columbia, with a brand-new fast-charging site now under construction in Terrace.
The eight-stall Supercharger is being built at the Skeena Mall (4741 Lakelse Ave) and is expected to be operational by early spring. Construction on the Skeena Mall site began late last year, with all eight charging stalls now installed and currently wrapped for protection while final electrical and commissioning work continues.
The station is expected to open by around April 1, according to a statement from mall owner Loon Properties to the Terrace Standard.

The new Terrace Supercharger fills a notable gap in northern B.C.’s fast-charging network. At present, Prince George is the only other northern community with a Tesla Supercharger, while the next closest site to the south is in Quesnel. For drivers heading west toward the coast or east through the interior, the lack of high-speed charging options has long required careful planning.
This Terrace build follows closely on the heels of Tesla beginning construction on a new Supercharger about 475 km away in Vanderhoof, where four V4 Supercharger stalls are currently waiting to be activated. Tesla has previously indicated they were working to also build Superchargers in Burns Lake, Smithers, and Prince Rupert, but those ‘in development’ sites have since been removed from Tesla’s map.
With construction in Terrace and Vanerhoof, these projects are likely to reappear soon and will serve as a critical link in Tesla’s longer-term plan to create a continuous Supercharger corridor between Prince George and Prince Rupert.
