Tesla is continuing to update its Supercharger map each and every month with upcoming Supercharger locations for Canada. For January’s update, Tesla has added 17 new ‘in development’ sites across the country, while at the same time removing at least 3 sites that were previously listed as ‘in development.’
What this tag of ‘in development’ means is that Tesla is working to secure a location in these areas, but has not yet come to a finalized agreement with a property owner. Since these sites are still in flux, they can be removed just as easily as they were added, as we have seen in previous updates.
So keep in mind that while Tesla says they are working to bring a Supercharger to these new markets, they may disappear from the map in a future monthly update and not come to fruition in the near future.
Here is a list of all the new sites added as ‘in development’ in Canada:
- Campbell River, BC
- Richmond, BC
- Surrey, BC
- Squamish, BC
- Canmore, AB
- Milton, ON
