Tesla Supercharger in Blind Bay now open [British Columbia]

Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicle (EV) drivers travelling along the Trans-Canada Highway through British Columbia have a new place to charge, with the Blind Bay Supercharger now officially open.

Construction of the Blind Bay Supercharger was first spotted in December 2023. In much quicker fashion than many Supercharger projects in Canada as of late, the station has been turned on just a few months later.

The new Supercharger is located at 2425 Golf Course Drive, just off Highway 1, and features 11 V4 Supercharger posts, all capable of delivering up to 325 kW of power compatible electric vehicles (EVs), including the Cybertruck.

Tesla owners will pay $0.43/kWh to charge at the site, while non-Tesla EV drivers can plug in for a reasonable $0.56/kWh.

Blind Bay, home to about 2,000 residents, sits between Salmon Arm (25 km to the east) and Kamloops (about 100 km to the west), both of which also host Tesla Superchargers. The addition of this station helps fill a previously underserved stretch of highway, offering drivers greater peace of mind when planning road trips through the Shuswap region.
