Tesla is continuing to expand its charging network in Metro Vancouver with a new Supercharger site now under construction in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The location, situated at 2773 Barnet Highway across from Korna Pet Store, will bring another key fast-charging option to the growing EV community in the region.
Tesla first revealed they were working on bringing a new Supercharger to Coquitlam nearly a year ago with an update to their map with the addition of an “in development” pin. Despite the pin being removed since then, Tesla was able to secure the site and construction is about to begin.
According to photos shared on TMC, the site has recently been fenced off, with construction equipment arriving in the past few days, along with the delivery of a Supercharger cabinet. Based on the available space, the Coquitlam Supercharger could be between 12 and 16 stalls, although Tesla has not yet confirmed the final number.
Once completed, it will likely feature Tesla’s latest V4 Supercharger, but still with V3 cabinets, capable of delivering charging speeds of up to 325 kW.

The Coquitlam Supercharger will be a welcomed addition to Tesla’s charging network, positioned along the busy Barnet Highway corridor that connects commuters traveling between Burnaby, Port Moody, and the Tri-Cities area. Its location provides easy access for local residents as well as long-distance drivers heading to and from the Fraser Valley.
The new Supercharger will help alleviate pressure on nearby stations in Burnaby, Surrey, and North Vancouver, all of which see heavy usage during peak travel times.
Tesla has not yet provided an official timeline for completion but given the track record of other Superchargers in the Lower Mainland area, it is anyone’s guess and could be open in a few months, or in late 2026.
