Tesla had a strong year in Southeast Asia in 2025, with Malaysia and Singapore standing out in particular.
In Malaysia, 2025 turned out to be Tesla’s best year since the brand entered the market. Data shared on Tesla’s Malaysia X account shows that the company delivered over 7,200 vehicles during the year. More than 2,800 were Model 3 sedans, while roughly 4,300 were Model Y crossovers.

That performance also placed Tesla ahead of several competing EV brands. The Model 3 finished the year as the country’s most popular fully electric sedan. The Model Y also led monthly EV sales charts in November 2025.
Singapore followed a similar pattern. According to @tesla_singapore on X, there are now more than 8,400 Teslas on Singapore’s roads. This figure is made up of almost equal shares of Model 3 and Model Y. Deliveries in 2025 alone crossed the 3,400 mark, with the Model Y making up more than 70 percent. This is a 46 percent increase in deliveries when compared to the previous year.

In addition to the sales growth, Tesla expanded its physical presence in Singapore during the year. A new Experience Centre opened at Westgate, four additional Supercharging sites went live, and the updated Model Y, offered in six trim options, was rolled out.
In total, Tesla delivered over 10,000 vehicles across Malaysia and Singapore, evidence that the EV company is no longer just testing these markets. Tesla China also recorded 86,700 wholesale sales in November 2025. If current trends hold, 2026 is likely to be another year of steady expansion.
