Tesla is planning a very unique Supercharger station in Roswell, New Mexico. Unlike standard installations, this site will be equipped with a Cybertruck-inspired ‘CyberCanopy’ integrating renewable energy and advanced lighting, while also subtly paying homage to the area’s well-known history of UFO sightings.
According to plans for the site uncovered by Supercharger sleuth Marco, the upcoming station will include eight stalls, positioned beneath a canopy designed to resemble the Cybertruck’s signature LED lightbar. The canopy will be fitted with a 20.88kW solar array, generating clean energy directly onsite.
While it appears the site won’t feature energy storage like some larger Tesla locations featuring Megapacks, it will still reduce grid dependency by contributing solar power to active vehicle charging or feeding excess power back to the grid.
A new Supercharger is coming soon to Roswell, New Mexico!!

While the plans shared by Marco show V3 Supercharger posts, the Roswell site will incorporate Tesla’s latest V4 Supercharger technology, according to an update render shared by Supercharger lead Max De Zegher. Adding to the functionality, Tesla will equip the CyberCanopy with RGB lighting, with the updated render showing the iconic hedgehog displayed on the underside of the canopy. The RGB lighting will also serve another purpose to provide drivers with a safer and more comfortable environment during evening or low-light charging sessions.

Tesla has previously experimented with CyberCanopy concepts, but Roswell appears to be the first site where the full vision may become a reality. However, the company aims to build a select number of destination-worthy Superchargers — sites where drivers would want to stop, not just need to, de Zegher added.
We want to build a few Superchargers cool enough to be worthy of the trip itself. Wish we could have kept it under wraps for longer, but submittal was needed for Planning Approval. We can’t hide anything from @MarcoRPi1! pic.twitter.com/X2WaKDd408
