Tesla has officially opened its third Supercharger station in Canmore, Alberta, further strengthening the town’s position as a key EV charging hub along the route through the Canadian Rockies. The new site adds 12 V4 stalls, bringing the total number of Tesla Supercharger stalls in Canmore to 24, all located within a short 2-kilometre stretch of Bow Valley Trail.
The latest installation at the Canmore Gateway Shoppes (802 Bow Valley Trail) features the newest generation V4 Supercharger posts, which are designed with longer charging cables to better accommodate a wider variety of EVs, and can charge up to 325kW for compatible vehicles.
Tesla owners can charge at $0.58 per kWh, while non-Tesla owners using an NACS adapter will pay $0.81 per kWh.
Construction of the site began in July following a development permit that had been filed nearly two years earlier.

The Canmore Supercharger cluster now includes:
- 12 V4 stalls at 802 Bow Valley Trail (Gateway Shoppes)
- 8 V3 stalls at 1702 Bow Valley Trail (250 kW)
- 4 V2 stalls at 1719 Bow Valley Trail (150 kW)
This high concentration of chargers in a relatively small town highlights Canmore’s strategic role as a stop over for EV drivers traveling along the Trans-Canada Highway through Banff National Park and beyond. With the addition of the latest Supercharger, Tesla has not only increased charging capacity but also ensured a mix of stall types and power levels that cater to both local residents and long-distance travelers.
