Tesla opens first showroom in Puerto Rico

Tesla has opened its first showroom in Puerto Rico in the Plaza Las Américas shopping center in the country’s capital, San Juan.

The new 2,500 square foot store features Model 3 and Model Y cars on display, and like other Tesla stores, also showcases the company’s energy products like solar panels and Powerwalls.

Potential customers will be able to check out the cars, asks questions of the Sales Advisors, and place an order for their new car.

Tesla’s presence in Puerto Rico has grown considerable over the past 12 months.

The automaker opened the first Service Center earlier this year, giving owners who imported Tesla cars into the country an official service option.

Shortly before the opening, Tesla also launched the Design Studio in Puerto Rico, allowing customers to place orders and have them delivered directly to the new Service Center.

Tesla owners in Puerto Rico also have two Superchargers. In March a small 2-stall Urban Supercharger opened on the eastern half of the island in Guaynabo, adding to the existing Supercharger in San Juan.
