Tesla is making life a little easier for owners across Europe with a long-requested update to its charging ecosystem. The company has begun onboarding third-party EV charge cards directly into the Tesla app, allowing drivers to use employer-issued or leasing-company-issued charging cards to pay for Supercharging sessions.
The new feature went live this week, with 34 charge cards supported at launch, such as those from Allstar, Athlon Charge, Cargemap, and Eneco. More than 40 additional card types will be added to the app over the next few weeks, according to Tesla Charging.

What Are Charge Cards?
Unlike in North America, a significant portion of Tesla owners in Europe receive dedicated EV charge cards through their employers or fleet managers, who rely on these cards for reimbursement, tax records, and internal billing. Until now, those drivers had to juggle multiple apps or manually track charging costs if they wanted to use Tesla’s Supercharger network.
That friction has been a consistent point of feedback from corporate drivers who rely heavily on Tesla’s charging infrastructure during work travel.
The addition of charge cards gives those drivers what they’ve been asking for—native Supercharger compatibility without paperwork headaches. Once a charge card is added to the app, Supercharging sessions will be billed through that card just like any other supported network, allowing companies to maintain automated billing workflows.
However, Tesla is still encouraging drivers to stick with their standard credit card, debit card, or direct debit when possible to avoid any markups from charge card providers. But for many, the addition is a perk for those customers who are required to use a charge card.
