Tesla marks entry into the Philippines with first store, Supercharger, and Model 3/Y launch

Tesla has officially launched its presence in the Philippines with the opening of its first store, announcing the first Supercharger, and the start of sales for the Model 3 and Model Y.

The new Tesla Experience Center opened its doors in the upscale Uptown Bonifacio shopping mall in Taguig City, marking another significant step in Tesla’s global expansion.

The launch event was not just a mere opening but a celebration. The store, designed with Tesla’s signature minimalist aesthetic, showcased the Model 3 and Model Y, with the opening drawing big crowds eager to see a Tesla firsthand.

Along with the grand opening, Tesla also announced its first Supercharger, which will be located at the same Uptown Bonifacio shopping mall. According to Tesla’s Find Us map, another two Superchargers are also planned for nearby.

Lastly, but most importantly, Tesla also turned on its online Design Studio for Philippine customers, enabling them to configure and order their vehicles for the first time. The pricing in the Philippines positions Tesla’s offerings competitively in the local market:

  • Model 3:
    • Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): PHP2,199,000 (C$52,200)
    • Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD): PHP2,489,000 (C$59,200)
    • Performance: PHP3,099,000 (C$73,670)
  • Model Y:
    • Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): PHP2,369,000 (C$56,300)
    • Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD): PHP2,689,000 (C$63,900)
    • Performance: PHP3,299,000 (C$78,400)

An order fee of PHP15,000 (C$356) applies to secure a reservation. The online configurator does not show an estimated delivery date for either the Model 3 or the Model Y, but they will likely begin in early 2025, with the country being supplied its vehicles from Giga Shanghai.

This is the second major international expansion for Tesla this year. In February the company entered South America for the first time, opening a store and launching sales of the Model 3 and Model Y in Chile.
