Tesla has extended its offer of free lifetime Supercharging to Model S buyers in Canada. However, just like in the US, there has also been a price increase on the electric sedan.
Last week Tesla brought back its free lifetime Supercharging incentive in the US. Unlike when this incentive was originally offered in the early days of the Model S, which remained with the car forever, this time the incentive is tied to the owner and not transferable, meaning it only has value for the buyer, and does not add value for any future owners.
There was also another catch, and that was a substantial price increase of US$5,000 on both trims of the Model S, offsetting the potential value of the incentive, depending on how often you Supercharge.
On Tuesday Tesla extended the free lifetime Supercharging to Canada. Along with the incentive, Tesla also increased prices of both trims of the Model S in Canada by C$7,000.
The All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant now starts at C$110,990, up from C$103,990, while the Plaid starts at C$131,990, up from C$124,990.
There are of course other restrictions on the offer, the same as those in the US. You can read the full terms of the deal below. The existing offer of 3 months of free Full Self-Driving (FSD) is still available, and this offer can be stacked with other promotions, like the free FSD transfer, but both of those expire December 31. You can also add a C$2,600 referral discount to offset part of the price increase.
