Tesla Cybertruck to Make Public Test Drive Debut at Electrify Expo

Tesla is set to be one of the highlights at the upcoming Electrify Expo in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering the first-ever public test drives of the Cybertruck. The Electrify Expo will take place next weekend, August 24-25 at Alameda Point.

Electrify Expo is North America’s largest electric vehicle (EV) festival, and this year will have over 1 million square feet of the world’s top electric brands. The inclusion of the Cybertruck at this year’s event marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time the electric pickup truck will be available for public test drives.

“Tesla is leveraging Electrify Expo’s stop in the Bay Area as the only place in North America for people to experience the thrill and fun-factor of the Cybertruck that weekend. Attendees will have the chance to gauge its power, capabilities, and overall performance, offering a glimpse into the future of electric vehicles,” said BJ Birtwell, CEO and founder of Electrify Expo.

Tesla only started offering test drives of the Cybertruck in the US last week, but those test drives are by appointment only and require an Advisor to ride along with you.

In addition to Tesla and the Cybertruck, Electrify Expo San Francisco will feature a wide range of automakers and EVs. Nearly 15 of the world’s largest automakers, including Ford, Hyundai, Rivian, Porsche, Lucid, Toyota, Volvo, and Nissan, will be present, offering test drives on various courses throughout the weekend.

The event will also include eight demo zones dedicated to all things electric, from e-bikes and skateboards to e-scooters and electric cars, including a ‘Launch Line’ to test out the acceleration of various EVs.

For those interested in attending, tickets are available for purchase online or at the venue. General admission is US$20 and kids under 5 are free.
