Tesla has launched two new programs in Canada, bringing the popular referral program north of the border, as well as offering a low interest rate on Model Y orders.
Tesla Referral Program in Canada
Last week Tesla relaunched its referral program in the US after it was discontinued back in April. We weren’t sure how long it was going to take to also launch here, but as it turns out we didn’t have to wait long, as the program is now also available in Canada.
Just like in the US, existing owners can earn C$650 when someone buys a Tesla through their referral link. That cash rewards can then be redeemed for merchandise, software upgrades, Supercharger, service bills, and even be put towards a new car.
Under the terms of the program, each owner is allowed to earn 10 referrals in a calendar year, meaning you could accumulate as much as C$6,500 in cash rewards.
There is also something in it for the buyer, who will get C$1,300 off their purchase. The same discount applies when an existing owner purchases another Tesla.
Unfortunately the referral program continues to be unavailable for owners in British Columbia. This is due to provincial regulations which state that only a registered salesperson can earn rewards from selling a car.

Model Y 1.99% Interest Promo
After offering low interest rates in markets around the world, Tesla has finally brought one to Canada. On Thursday Tesla announced qualified buyers can get a low 1.99% interest rate on Model Y purchases.
According to Tesla’s online configurator, you can get a Model Y Long Range (LR) with C$7,500 down for $1,025 per month for 60 months with the low interest rate. The Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) with the same terms is $850 per month, while the Performance is $1,113 per month.
If you need to finance for longer, you can also get 3.99% financing for up to 96 months.
The offer is only valid on Model Y vehicles delivered by September 30, 2024.
