Tesla Brings $1,000 “Everyday Hero” Discount to Canada

Tesla is now offering its “Everyday Hero” discount program in Canada. Previously only available in the United States, this program recognizes the contributions of first responders, students, and teachers, giving them $1,000 off the purchase of a new vehicle.

Like the U.S. version of the program, Canadian buyers must verify their status through ID.me, a secure online platform that confirms eligibility for the discount. Once verified, users are redirected to Tesla’s Design Studio where they can configure and order their new Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, or even the Cybertruck.

The $1,000 discount is applied automatically before taxes at checkout.

This marks the first time Tesla has offered a military or first responder discount in Canada. Earlier this month the U.S. version expanded from a military-only discount into a broader initiative titled “Made in America for Everyday Heroes.”

The U.S. version is slightly broader and includes military personnel, veterans, spouses, teachers, students, and first responders. Now, Canadian counterparts in the latter three categories can benefit from a similar incentive.

It is important to note that the discount must be applied at the time of purchase—it cannot be retroactively applied to previous orders. It is also stackable with current financing deals and Tesla’s referral program, which used to offer a cash discount but has been changed to provide buyers with the free months of Full Self-Driving (FSD).

To verify your eligibility and begin designing your vehicle with the discount, visit Tesla’s website.
