SpaceX offers $0 Starlink kit promotion across most of Canada

SpaceX’s satellite internet service, Starlink, has introduced a new offer for Canadians. Customers subscribing and committing to a 12-month Residential service plan can receive the Starlink hardware kit for free. But there is one catch.

Normally, Canadians pay around C$499 for the Starlink hardware kit, which includes the antenna, mounting hardware, router, and cables. Under this new promotion, eligible users can receive the kit for free — but only if they agree to keep the Residential service active for at least one year.

Customers can take advantage of this offer with a 30-day trial period during which they can cancel and return the kit for a full refund. However, if they cancel after the trial or break any terms of the agreement, such as failing to pay, relocating their service address, or attempting to resell the equipment, they will be charged a prorated Change Fee.

In Canada, this fee starts at C$499 and is gradually reduced each month over the 12-month period.

Available Almost Everywhere in Canada

Starlink’s network covers all of Canada, and this promotional offer is currently available almost everywhere. The Starlink offer map indicates that it is available across most of the country, with pockets of unavailability in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Yukon.

To find out if the deal is available in your area, head to Starlink.com and enter your address.

Global Availability

Canada isn’t the only country where Starlink is rolling out this type of offer. In Italy, the $0 kit promotion is available nationwide. Germany and Australia are also participating, though in more limited regions.
