New Tesla Supercharger Under Construction in North Burlington [Ontario]

Tesla is expanding its Supercharger footprint in Ontario, with a brand-new station in Burlington now under construction on the city’s north side. What makes this new site particularly interesting is that it does not appear on Tesla’s official Supercharger map as a planned or “coming soon” location.

Construction recently began in early December at the Fortinos plaza located at 2525 Appleby Line, right next to GoodLife Fitness, according to a report on Plugshare. While construction is still in its very early stages, Tesla Supercharger equipment has already arrived on site, confirming that this is indeed a legitimate Supercharger project.

What We Know So Far

At this stage, the number of stalls for the Appleby Line location have not been confirmed. However, given Tesla’s recent builds across Ontario, this site will likely feature at least 12 stalls with newer V4 hardware, which supports longer cables and is designed to accommodate a wider range of vehicles — including non-Tesla EVs as Canada continues its transition to the North American Charging Standard (NACS).

The Fortinos plaza location also checks several important boxes: ample parking, nearby amenities, and easy access to major arterial roads.

A Second Supercharger for Burlington

Once complete, the Burlington North Supercharger will complement Tesla’s existing station in the city at Mapleview Centre (900 Maple Avenue), which features 16 V2 stalls up to 150 kW.

The Mapleview site has long served as a critical charging stop along the QEW corridor, but it can become busy during peak travel periods. Adding a second Supercharger on the north side of Burlington should help spread demand more evenly while providing greater convenience for local owners and commuters traveling between Hamilton, Milton, and the western GTA.
