Here are the LiveOne music subscription costs for Tesla owners

Tesla announced earlier this month that it will be removing free premium music streaming accounts for Tesla owners with a Premium Connectivity subscription, starting on December 1, 2024. For Tesla owners in North America, that means the removal of your free LiveOne (formerly Slacker) account.

When the announcement was made, LiveOne said they would offer exclusive pricing for Tesla owners. Those prices have been out for over a week now, and it looks like not many owners will be signing up for the service once the free subscription ends, especially as there is a free ad-supported tier.

According to the LiveOne website, there are two account tiers you can sign up for – LiveOne Plus and LiveOne Plus Premium. The only difference between the two is that the cheaper LiveOne Plus account does not include being able to listen on demand or offline. Other than that, all features are the same.

As for pricing, LiveOne Plus will cost $3.99 per month, while LiveOne Plus Premium will set you back $9.99 per month. Opting for an annual billing instead of monthly will bring the price down to $34.99 per year ($2.91 per month) or $99.99 per year ($8.33 per month) respectively.

This compares to the regular pricing of $39.99 per year ($5 savings) for LiveOne Plus, and $10.99 per month for LiveOne Plus Premium (there is no annual option for this account type). All these prices appear to be in US dollars.

Don’t forget, if you have a lifetime Premium Connectivity subscription, you will not be affected by this change and you will continue to receive a free LiveOne account in your car.

We first shared this pricing structure last week on X, and the response from owners was underwhelming to say the least, with everyone saying they won’t be paying for an account after December 1, 2024.

Here’s a tip if you have also been getting annoyed with the LiveOne ads about your subscription ending.
