Ford buyers in the US can now score huge discounts on two of the automaker’s EVs; the 2023 Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning. Savings of up to $8,100 are available on the electric SUV and $15,000 on the electric pickup truck.
The price cuts in the US come just a few days after Ford issued as much as a $13,000 price cut in Canada on the Mustang Mach-E buyers.
Ford has released updated prices for two of its EVs, with different discounts depending on the model and trim. The Detroit-based automaker is loping off $3,100 on the entry-level Mustang Mach-E, now selling for $39,895. The Premium four-wheel-drive sees even more price cut at $4,100, now selling for $45,895 before add-ons.
The California Route 1 AWD is now $48,895 after a significant reduction of $8,100.
Meanwhile, buyers should note that the Mach-E is no longer eligible for the federal tax incentive under the new regime as it sources components from a “foreign entity of concern.” However, these price cuts should make the electric SUV compare favorably with its competitors.
On the pickup side of things, Ford is offering substantial savings by combining multiple incentives and cash bonuses. Thanks to the new Point of Sale (POS) program, buyers can score between $7,500 and $15,000 in discounts.
The Lightning Pro and Lightning XLT will get $7,500 in POS credit to now sell for $49,995 and $54,995, respectively, while the Lightning XLT with 320 miles range will combine the $7,500 POS credit and a $7,500 retail incentive to cut $15,000 and sell at $54,995.
The Lightning Lariat and Lightning Lariat with 320 miles range will get $7,500 in POS credit and $5,000 in retail incentive to sell for $69,995 and $64,995, respectively. The Lightning Platinum is getting $12,500 cheaper to retail for $91,995, thanks to the retail incentive.
