2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 Canadian Pricing Announced: Starts at $59,999

Hyundai has officially announced Canadian pricing for the all-new 2026 IONIQ 9, an all-electric three-row SUV. The IONIQ 9, built in Ulsan, South Korea, will be available at Hyundai dealerships across Canada starting this June.

The base IONIQ 9 Essential RWD will start at $59,999 and offers an estimated driving range of 539 kilometres. For buyers seeking all-wheel drive, the Preferred AWD trim begins at $64,999, while the Preferred AWD+ variant—boasting more power—carries the same starting price.

Higher trims include the Preferred AWD with Luxury Package at $76,499 and the fully loaded AWD+ with Ultimate Calligraphy Package at $81,499. Delivery and destination charges of $2,050 are additional.

All trims of the IONIQ 9 promise a minimum range of 500 kilometres, with the RWD Essential leading the lineup at 539 km. The AWD models offer between 500 km and 515 km, depending on configuration.

That range is supported by Hyundai’s 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling ultra-fast charging speeds. With a compatible 350 kW DC fast charger, the IONIQ 9’s battery can recharge from 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 24 minutes. Importantly for Canadian EV owners, the IONIQ 9 is among the first non-Tesla vehicles equipped with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, ensuring seamless access to Tesla’s Supercharger network across the country. An adapter is also included for compatibility with CCS fast chargers.

Power, Utility, and Family-Friendly Features

Power outputs range from 215 horsepower in the Essential RWD to 422 hp in the dual-motor Preferred AWD+ trims. In addition to performance, the IONIQ 9 has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 lbs. Towing is made easier and safer with Hyundai’s trailer mode, which adjusts range predictions and optimizes power distribution for enhanced towing stability.

Inside, the IONIQ 9 offers a spacious, “class-above” interior, featuring premium materials, a minimalist design aesthetic, and advanced driver-assistance features that are standard across the lineup. Higher trims introduce luxury touches such as exclusive exterior styling, advanced safety technologies, and expanded convenience features.
