Tesla had added new discounts to its stock of Model 3 and Model Y inventory vehicles in Canada and the United States. The discounts vary by vehicle and configuration, but could save you over $3,000 in Canada or $2,500 in the US.
Tesla last applied discounts to its inventory vehicles in the US in April, the first month of the second quarter. Now just a few days into the first month of the fourth quarter, and Tesla has again brought back inventory discounts, this time in both Canada and the US.
According to Tesla’s existing inventory website, the discounts in Canada apply to all three variants of the Model 3 and the Model Y, although not all variants are available in all markets. Don’t forget to use a referral code to save an additional $1,300.
Model 3 Discounts
For example, in Toronto you can purchase a Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) for $48,490, with a $1,500 discount off the regular price. This is a Chinese-built Model 3, part of the last batch to be sold in Canada after the federal government added a 100% tariff and eliminated the federal rebate on Chinese-made EVs. However, these should still be eligible for the $5,000 rebate as Transport Canada says cars in Canada or in-transit to Canada as of October 1 will continue to receive the incentive.
Discounts are also available for the Long Range (LR) variant. Again the discounts vary, but can be as high as $3,040. There are no discounts on new inventory Model 3 Performance vehicles, but some available on demo vehicles, which are formerly cars used for demo drives.
Model Y Discounts
The story is much the same for the Model Y. In Vancouver you can purchase a new Model Y RWD for $56,280, a $1,690 discount. Discounts for the Model Y LR and Performance can be over $2,000. Like the Model 3, higher discounts are also available on demo vehicles.
