Starlink Launches New Residential Internet Plans in Canada Starting at $70 per Month

Starlink has rolled out a new set of lower-priced Residential internet plans in Canada, aligning with changes made in the United States earlier this week.

According to the Starlink website, the updated lineup introduces three new Residential tiers, with pricing starting at just $70 per month. Previously, the cheapest plan available was $110, which is now the mid-tier option.

This price reduction brings Starlink’s home internet pricing closer to traditional terrestrial broadband offerings, while maintaining the flexibility and reach that satellite-based service is known for.

At the entry level, the Residential 100 Mbps plan is priced at $70 per month and is designed as a reliable, affordable option for everyday home connectivity. Starlink says the plan is suitable for common household tasks such as web browsing, video streaming, and remote work, delivering speeds of up to 100 Mbps depending on location and network conditions.

The mid-tier Residential 200 Mbps plan comes in at $110 per month, targeting households with heavier usage or multiple connected devices. With speeds of up to 200 Mbps, the plan is a strong fit for families, home offices, and users who regularly stream high-resolution video or participate in video calls.

At the top of the lineup is Residential Max, priced at $140 per month, which Starlink describes as its best-performing home internet option. This plan offers access to maximum available speeds—up to 400+ Mbps in select areas—making it Starlink’s fastest residential service in Canada to date.

Residential Max also includes an added perk: customers can opt in to receive a free Starlink Mini Kit, designed for portable use.

That Mini Kit unlocks discounted and flexible service options for travel, allowing customers to take their connection on the road. Starlink says the Mini can be used for camping, RVing, boating, and other mobile scenarios across the country.

For Canadians who have struggled with limited broadband options, especially outside major urban centres, Starlink’s new Residential plans are a huge step toward faster and more flexible internet access—without the premium pricing that previously put satellite internet out of reach for many households.
