Tesla has officially launched the refreshed Model Y Performance, with initial availability limited to Europe and the Middle East.
Deliveries are expected to begin in September, with expansion to other markets planned at a later date.
Performance and Efficiency Updates
The updated Model Y Performance includes several exterior design changes aimed at improving aerodynamics, such as a new front and rear fascia, optimized wheels and tires, and a carbon fiber spoiler. These updates contribute to better stability and reduced drag at higher speeds.

The vehicle now accelerates from 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds, slightly quicker than the outgoing version, while maintaining a top speed of 250km/h (155 mph). Despite the performance focus, range remains competitive, at around 308 miles (495km) — only marginally lower than the Long Range variant.

Tesla has also equipped the model with adaptive damping suspension and new drive modes, providing more flexibility for different driving conditions. Staggered wheel and tire fitment, along with high-performance brakes, are designed to improve handling and braking consistency.

Battery and Comfort Improvements
The new Model Y Performance benefits from Tesla’s latest high-density battery cells, which increase energy capacity and help offset the higher demands of performance driving.
Inside, the focus has been on improving comfort for both drivers and passengers. The front sport seats feature ventilation, heating, power recline, and adjustable thigh support, while the rear seats now include heating, perforated surfaces, and power recline functionality.

Additional sound-damping materials and acoustic glass have been added to reduce cabin noise.
Technology and Interior Features
A larger 16-inch QHD central touchscreen has been introduced, offering higher resolution than the 15.4-inch screen found in non-Performance variants. Other upgrades include ambient lighting in the footwells and door pockets, as well as new carbon fiber interior trim.

Externally, the SUV has a slightly lower ground clearance compared to the Long Range version (6.1 inches versus 6.6 inches), further emphasizing its performance-oriented setup.
Safety and driver assistance systems continue to play a role in the vehicle’s design. The new Model Y Performance comes with eight exterior cameras, including an added forward-facing bumper camera, supporting Tesla’s Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system.
Pricing and Availability
The refreshed Model Y Performance is priced from £61,990 in the United Kingdom, which is roughly C$115,000, or US$84,000 at current exchange rates. The vehicle can now be ordered in Europe and the Middle East, with deliveries scheduled in the coming months.
Tesla has not yet confirmed a timeline for North American or Asian markets.
The new Model Y Performance is already available for viewing at stores in Europe.
