Tesla adds new Cybertruck gear to clothing lineup

We all knew it was going to come sooner or later. Tesla last night added some new clothing items to its store, poking fun at itself of the mishap on Cybertruck reveal night where Franz accidentally broke the Cybertruck windows.

The new t-shirt, dubbed the “Cybertruck Bulletproof Tee” is available for $45 CAD, and features am image of the cracked glass on the front, and an image of the Cybertruck on the rear.

In case you don’t know, this all came about after Elon Musk wanted to demonstrate the ‘unbreakable’ glass on the new Cybertruck, by having Franz von Holzhausen, chief designer at Tesla, throw a large metal ball at the window. Despite having tested this same scenario just minutes before coming out on stage, the windows shattered during the live event.

But instead, this is what happened on stage. Musk later explained the reason for the mishap was due to hitting the same door with a sledge hammer just before throwing the ball, which weakened the glass enough for it to break on impact.

In addition to the t-shirt, Tesla also introduced other Cybertruck apparel like a new ‘Cybertruck Graffiti Hoodie‘ ($90 CAD) and the ‘Cybertruck Icon Trucker Hat‘ ($30 CAD).
